Hildon in Higher Then 800×480
February 9, 2007
Internet Tablet Talk has a story about the Hildon API running on a laptop! This means hildon will scale to resolutions larger then the Nokia 770 and N800 Internet Tablets. This also COULD man a OLPC type device.
What’s Hildon? It’s the UI that the Nokia internet tablets use with thier Maemo install. It’s a nice UI and it seems to be easy to understand to me anyway.

Funny how this go round and round.
when OLPC was announced, I suggested on Maemo-developers , I asked about how Maemo could fit into the OLPC (im not afiliated with OLPC). People didnt seemed very excited. Of course. Hildon on the 800×480 screen doesnt seem to be a good desktop for bigger screens. (Ive got to admit – even me didnt belived it could be so nice on a desktop screen)
Now, with those pictures, we see it could indeed fit as a good desktop for XO. (I was drooling after a first saw the pictures
)
