Bashpodder Rocking the 770…

January 1, 2007

I played around with Bashpodder on the 770. Linc’s got a post here.

It’s pretty simple to get working on the 770.

  1. Install wget.
  2. Setup your bp.conf on the 770 or copy your bp.conf from another machine you have used or do use bashpodder on. Also copy the podcast.log.
  3. Edit the bashpodder script and swap out the bash with sh.
  4. Run it from Xterm with: sh bashpodder.shell.

Make sure you have a swap file setup and do this before you go to bed and any podcasts that are new will be downloaded right on the 770. Nice.
